Buje is located on the northwestern part of the Istrian peninsula and the Croatia. Together with Umag, Novigrad, Oprtalj, Brtonigla, Grožnjan and smaller surrounding towns and settlements, the town of Buje forms Bujština. The area of Buja is rich in monuments of cultural heritage.
